DEVELOPERS BEWARE
This website has been created to provide data relating to the site at Lower Lane, Berry Hill

During 2014 a planning application for the Lower Lane site, was made and was subsequently refused by FODDC. This was taken to Appeal by Gladman, and the following documentation presented.

Gladman developments may well promote the lower lane site as a green field site, with a relatively low  development cost.
Nothing could be further from the truth. This site is extensively undermined and potentially a very expensive site to remediate.

WE SUGGEST THAT YOU READ THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS AND MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND
Any attempt by a future developer of this site, who runs into difficulties, to vary any planning conditions attached to the site, including:-

Planning is for 180 houses
40% of these should be affordable
 Must comply with indicative framework

would be strenuously opposed by the local population.
